Formerly Schommer, of Issaquah, passed away 7/10 after a brief battle with lung cancer. She was born in 1949 in Seattle to Virginia and Mel Gamache. She graduated from Holy Names Academy and shortly after joined the Marines. Known to her friends and family as Em, she was kind and courageous with a heart of gold. She married and started a family in the Midwest. In the 80s, she returned the Seattle area she loved so much. Em worked in the medical supply business and was very active in fundraising for various causes. She is survived by her loving husband Jim, mother, 3 brothers, 2 sisters, son, daughter and two grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, 8/1, 2pm at Tahoma National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to a worthy cause.
